Waukesha Perkins 800kW in Oilfield Enclosure

Another successful project recently completed at AltaStream comprised of a Waukesha H24GL and a Perkins APPD400 in a prime/standby configuration. The units were housed in an Alberta oilfield style eaves gable enclosure housing. This project was completed on time in just 5 weeks from order, and on budget. Some highlights include;

  • New surplus Waukesha H24GL 400kW continuous natural gas generator
  • New 2012 Perkins APPD400 400kW standby diesel generator
  • Matching Marathon Magnamax alternator ends
  • Custom designed eaves gable housing with removable wall section for extracting the H24GL
  • Two sets of double doors, thermostatically controlled building exhaust fan and radiator louver for Perkins unit
  • Heavy duty 18″ wide flange beam skid with supports for each generator unit
  • Remote mounted Young Touchstone VB24 vertical radiator
  • 600 Amp Thompson Technology Automatic Transfer Switch
  • Deep Sea Electronics DSE7310 digital control systems on each generator, wall mounted
  • External load bank with auto sensing load sharing
  • Gas train with high pressure regulator, coalescing filter, ASME rated pressure safety valve, flex hose and safety shutoff solenoid.
